Cal Poly is home to the Epsilon Phi Chapter, one of nearly 200 Chapters and Eta Branches in the United States, Europe, and Asia. We are constantly looking for the highest-caliber EE and CPE students, asking them to join us in improving ourselves, our school, and our community.
The Epsilon Phi Chapter chooses prospective members based on their academic ability and on their potential for future leadership. We usually hold initiations twice a year, in the Fall and Spring Quarters.
Undergraduates in Electrical, Electronic, and Computer Engineering are eligible if they fall within the top 33% of the Senior EE/CPE class, the top 25% of the Junior EE/CPE class or the top 15% of the Sophmore EE/CPE class.
Graduate Students in EE, and CPE are eligible if they have completed the equivalent of one-half year's full-time study, and if they receive the endorsement of their Department Chair.
Prospective members demonstrate their commitment by taking part in one or more community-service projects during the initiation period. Past activities have been planting trees along city streets, bussing tables at volunteer dinners, participating in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Walk and running a local Boy Scouts Electricity Merit Badge Workshop. |
